Una Stubbs (Worzel Gummidge) has joined the cast of BBC children’s drama Ingenious, which will be transmitted later this year.
She is joined by David Calder (The Mummy, Bramwell), Ian Puleston Davies (Tess of the D’urbervilles, Vincent) and Christine Tremarco (Moving On, Waterloo Road) on the show, which is produced by Lime Pictures.
The one-off CBBC drama has been written by Jeanette Winterson and tells the story of an 11-year-old girl who lives on a farm in Alderley Edge with her grandmother (Stubbs) and 2 friends.
They get involved in an adventure which features genies and dragons as the children try and save the farm.
It’s been directed by Brian Kelly (Torchwood) and produced by Rebecca Hodgson (Vincent, Wired). Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
