Sumi Connock to discuss BBC's daytime needs at Indie Club |

Sumi Connock, the BBC’s only commissioning editor for ‘Daytime and Early Peak’ programming based outside of London, is speaking at the Indie Club’s monthly get together about the BBC’s daytime needs.
 Connock The meeting is being this evening at the Prohibition bar in Manchester from 7.30pm.
Connock, who works out of the Oxford Road base, has had a long and varied broadcast career; taking her from runner on The Big Breakfast, through to producer of Davina McCall’s Street Mate, executive producer of Dirty Sanchez and finally, after joining the BBC in 2003, to her current role as commissioner of entertainment. Connock was also responsible for Brian Conley's game show, Dirty Rotten Cheater and oversaw Strictly It Takes Two. She has also watched over the production of Shine North's panel show, What Are You Like and has been working with Ricky Tomlinson.
The Indie Club is a networking group of freelance programme makers and managers of indie production companies. Previous speakers have included Paul Abbott (Shameless), Andrew Jackson (Channel 4) and Steve Gowans (five).
