Manchester indie Turn On Television is understood to be about to open a second US office in Los Angeles in a joint venture with Stef Wagstaffe, the showrunner behind the American series Undercover Boss and Wife Swap USA.
Turn On Television has already a presence in New York.
The company, based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, was established by MD Angela Smith in 1998 by Angela Smith. Smith was previously a producer on The Big Breakfast, the Business Programme and ITV’s Top Banana.
Turn On has established a reputation for its documentary work in reality and crime productions for broadcasters including the Crime & Investigation Network, ITV, Channel 4, Five and Discovery.
The new LA office, which will be run by Wagstaffe, is working on a number of new projects for the US market and is also looking at projects that might be undertaken or developed in the States for the UK market. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
