Xfm Manchester breakfast DJ Jason Manford is replacing Bolton comedian Dave Spikey in the fifth series of Channel 4’s comedy panel game show ‘8 out of 10 Cats’.
Manford has made three appearances on the show, in the last of which, Piers Morgan called him a ‘fat northerner’.
Manford said: “’I’m going to have a busy summer with this, the breakfast show, going to Edinburgh and getting married – but I’m only young and you can sleep when you’re dead.’’
The first show of the new series will be recorded on 14 June and will be broadcast on Channel 4 shortly after.
