Digital agency 11 Out Of 10 which specialises in e-commerce and online shopping sites has been awarded ‘Best E-commerce Site 2007’ for its work for gadget company Global Gizmos in UKFast’s annual Internet awards.

The award was won by Sainsbury’s in the previous year.

11 Out Of 10 created and developed the web site for Global Gizmos which subsequently claimed sales of over £100,000 within three months of launching. The total initial investment in the website and search engine marketing was under £10,000.

Global Gizmos now exports to the USA, Canada and Australia and has increased its range of products to include satellite navigation tools and high performance training monitors for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.

Managing director of UKFast, Lawrence Jones, said: “11 out of 10 has shown that smaller suppliers can really deliver.  It is a trend we have noticed in this year’s competition.  In this instance it is the quality of ideas, staff and service rather than size that really counts.”

Vince Holt of 11 out of 10 added: “We offer our clients solid and reliable Internet sites that their businesses need.  We always focus on generating a financial return.  For our work to be recognised in this way is just fantastic, especially as so many big name agencies competed for this award.”

In a separate development, the site was recently awarded 5 stars for ease of use and featured in the Ultimate Guide to On-line shopping by The Independent on Sunday.

11 Out of 10 is shortly to relocate to new larger premises in Salford’s new Innovation Forum Building, which will also be housing some of the BBC’s departments prior to their complete move to mediacity:uk.

Manchester-based UKFast is the ISPA UK’s Best Business Host 2007, 2006 and 2005 as well as Future Publishing’s Best Business ISP 2004. The company is a regular fixture in national rankings of the UK’s top five ISPs. Its clients include Experian, Philips and Sainsbury’s.

UKFast also sponsors the Sale Sharks Premiership Rugby Club and the Airwaves-Ducati British Superbikes Team.
