Salford Quays-headquartered mobile marketing technology firm 2ergo has welcomed James Macdonald to its management team in the position of head of media and entertainment.
Macdonald
Macdonald formerly held the role of sales director at O2 Media, where he set up the media division, leaving the business in August. Prior to that he was head of mobile at Unanimis.

Chris Brassington, group managing director at 2ergo, commented: "Mobile is fast becoming a critical communications channel and the preeminent way of engaging and drawing audiences closer to the brand.

"2ergo has considerable experience of optimising and monetising media content for mobile and James's experience will be invaluable as we continue to build on our record of success in the media and entertainment market."

The firm, which offers and develops a range of applications, publishing and messaging products for the mobile market, recently developed a popular iPhone application for Arsenal FC.
