Visual effects and animation firm AHD Motion Imaging - creators of possibly the biggest hit on How-Do last Christmas - has announced changes to the firm that encompass a complete re-brand, new senior members of staff and a soon to launch fresh web presence.
The agency is now being marketed simply as Mi as it looks to work across a slightly wider remit and take on more creative projects.
A new beginning for AHD
In line with this it has appointed Ian Hogg - a well-known figure on the Manchester ad agency scene - as its new creative director, while Gareth Thatcher has moved up to the role of technical director.
Tony Hartley-Denton, MD of Mi, explained the need for the changes: "When AHD Mi was initially launched the focus was predominantly on architectural projects.
"Increasingly we have been working on creatively led briefs and animation work and the re-launch as Mi is a natural progression of our business model.”
He continued: “Ian’s appointment as creative director complements Mi’s direction.
"He’s a multi disciplinary creative with an ideas-led approach that fits well with Mi’s proposition of producing imaginative, insightful solutions that don’t nod to the latest fad.”
The agency's new website - www.wearemi.com - will launch within the next few weeks.
Just in case you missed the firm's robot campaign last year, here it is again. Even if you didn't it's still worth another look.
