Ahoy Creative in Manchester has launched a new website for the Aberconwy Resort & Spa.
Flashy The holiday company opted to go for a site built entirely in Flash, that’s despite a warning from Ahoy that it could impact on its search visibility:
"It was a refreshing website to work on as it was produced entirely in Flash. Despite informing the Aberconwy directors on why an entirely Flash website would not be good for search engine ranking they decided to still go ahead,” explained creative director, Mark Stringer. “Aberconwy wanted a website that would communicate the park offering in the most engaging way and Flash has delivered that. The park is years ahead of other parks in terms of landscaping, facilities and service so we looked at world class hotels for inspiration rather than other caravan parks. “Its early days but with the initial customer testing we have carried out; the feedback has been even better than expected." The agency, which rebranded from Bourn Design in April this year, provided a range of creative services including strategy, branding, art direction, photography, copywriting, design and of course Flash development.
