Hasgrove-owned Amaze has revealed that it has played a key part in Toyota's online introduction of 'an entirely new brand and visual identity across its European operations'.

The Manchester-based digital outfit, which has a history of working with sister car brand Lexus, was brought in by the manufacturer to improve the site's structure and usability, while it was also given the key responsibility of delivering the online interpretation of the new branding.

Amaze's brief encompassed, in the agency's words, "realising the bold new Toyota brand online" and "extended to the translation of complex product brand groupings into the online context, covering colours, textures, typographic hierarchies and visual identity standards for all templates and content containers."

Natalie Gross, one of the firm's managing partners, explained more: “Amaze are very proud of the leading role we have played in bringing Toyota’s bold new brand strategy to life across the platform of European websites.

"We are also excited to be instrumental in supporting Toyota’s ongoing model launch schedule with significant new improvements in usability and interactivity.

“Our focus on user experience has allowed us to deliver on a strategy of continuous improvements to site functionality and design, which will have ongoing benefits for Toyota and their pan-European online audience”.

The new site is now rolling out across the European marketplace.

Further developments are expected later in the year with increased interactive features being made available.

This includes "interactive, full screen flash functionality to showcase the Toyota model range, new forms and conversion tools and ongoing development of the product profile components of the platform."
