The British Council, which has its headquarters in Whitworth Street Manchester, has opted to appoint a London-based agency to handle an ambitious online initiative to promote UK educational facilities to international markets.
How-Do reported on the Council's search for a supplier at the tail end of last year, as it announced its intention to create an “inspirational” student-facing online guide to study opportunities in Britain. After a lengthy search the organisation has now selected London's Sapient to handle the two main 'lots' of 'website design, build and hosting services' and 'data collection and database management services'. The design and build task boasted a budget of £500,000 to £800,000, while the data lot offered between £350,000 to £700,000. A second firm from the capital, Hotcourses, has been chosen to manage advertising sales for the site. www.britishcouncil.org Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
