Today we announce the launch of How-Do's Top 100 North West Brands 2008 in association with leading law firm Hill Dickinson together with the CBI and the CIM. In this, the initiative's second year, we welcome four of Bauer's leading radio stations which will also be participating as we seek to identify the region's best known and most admired brands.

Tamsin O’Brien is to stand down from her role as BBC’s head of regional and local programmes (HRLP) in the North West after 2 years.

"This has been a very difficult decision for me. I feel as proud to be working for the BBC now as I did the day I arrived almost twenty years ago."
