Code creates Hillarys site dedicated to the Irish marketplace | Print |  Email to a friend

Code Computerlove has launched a website for long-standing client Hillarys that looks to cement the firm’s position as Ireland’s fastest growing blinds company.

Code has worked alongside Hillarys for the past three years and was called in for the new project as the firm looked to address some consumer issues that are unique to the Irish market.

Code Computerlove has launched a website for long-standing client Hillarys that looks to cement the firm’s standing as Ireland’s fastest growing blinds company.
The new site
Susan White, the client’s online marketing manager, explained: “Our research showed that Irish consumers like to deal with local brands, so we were keen to ensure our online 'shop window' was tailored to the needs of this market.

"Customers' buying behaviour in Ireland is very different when it comes to choosing their window coverings. It is important that our proposition addresses these requirements, and we have also applied many features to make it relevant to customers in Ireland.

“The site talks in Euros; it focuses solely on the Hillarys operation in Ireland, which has been in existence for 20 years; and introduces Hillarys' 30 locally based advisors.”

White continued: “Our digital promotions and timetable have also been tailored to the Irish market, and it has a slightly different tone of voice and brand personality compared to .co.uk.”

The site also features a blog, which is said to allow users to talk specifically about Irish products and issues that are related solely to them, rather than the wider UK marketplace.
