Household products multinational PZ Cussons has appointed Code Computerlove to handle the digital marketing of two of its leading brands: Original Source and Carex.
In addition to online marketing, Code will also manage the two brands’ digital strategy, planning and any new design and build. Code won the business in competition with Alchemy Interactive, a London digital agency.
An initial project on behalf of Carex has already been launched - www.carex.co.uk . The first work for Original Source is expected later this year.
PZ Cussons, based in Stockport, operates in Africa, Asia and Europe: it also owns the Imperial Leather brand. TBWA Manchester handles the ‘offline’ activities of several PZ Cussons brands and Media Edge Manchester is the company’s media buying agency.
Michael Harper, who oversees the two brands at PZ said: "Code's digital expertise will help us to exploit this powerful communications channel to great effect and to reinforce key marketing objectives to assert Carex as the hand care experts, and make Original Source even more famous for its 'packed with natural ingredients' proposition.
"The pitch was part of the company's overall strategy to rationalise the number of agencies used across our brands and to understand - and importantly leverage - how online can deliver our brand objectives.
"We were blown away by Code's brand understanding and knowledge of the digital channel, combined strong clear strategies and outstanding creative."
