A list of TV stars including Sarah Lancashire, David Neilson (Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper) and Robert Powell are apparently impressed with the latest work from Manchester’s CTI Support Networks.
Acting up: CTI's MD Rhind The new media agency has won favour with the regional acting glitterati by developing the revamped website for the Actor’s Centre North (ACN). ACN, which provides training and support to actors in theatre, television, film and radio, commissioned the site from CTI in an effort to attract sponsorship and foster greater participation from the acting community. In response CTI returned to the table with an ‘open source technology’ portal that the team claims will be “vibrant and easily adaptable and updateable for years to come.” And finally, just to explain the name-dropping at the start of this piece, Neilson and Lancashire are patrons of the centre, while Robert Powell is an active supporter. Financial assistance is also provided for ACN through the Arts Council, the BBC and Five. www.northernactorscentre.co.uk/ www.ctisn.com
