CTI suffers theft after fire, as lightning strikes twice | Print |  Email to a friend
Thursday, 11 September 2008
Digital firm CTI Support Network, which has just released a site for the huge global Oracle community, is reeling from what the agency is calling its ‘second major disaster in 18 months.’

The firm was one of the victims of the huge Northern Quarter fire last year, as its Dale Street offices were damaged, disrupting the business.

Digital firm CTI Support Network, which has just released a site for the huge global Oracle community, is reeling from what the agency is calling its ‘second major disaster in 18 months.’
Rhind: a 20 (hour) a day man
As CTI has expanded, and put the memories of the conflagration behind it, the team spotted new offices to hold the ambitious business and promptly moved into premises on Blackfriars Road last week…

Only to then be divested of thousands of pounds of high-tech equipment by some thieves eager to welcome the new arrivals in the worst possible way.

Thankfully, however, agency boss Nick Rhind persuaded his staff to join him in putting in a few 20-hour working days to ensure the minimum of disruption.

As he explained, it seems to have done the trick: “It has been a very challenging week to say the least.  But CTI has proved itself resilient in the past and I am confident we will come through this episode.

“In fact since the Dale Street fire we have doubled in size and our plans to double again within a year will not be overhauled by this incident.”

Rhind and Co will now be hoping that, contrary to what some old wives are wont to tell us, bad luck doesn’t actually come in threes.
