Hillman Curtis, founder of the eponymous New York digital design consultancy, will be the D&AD’s next speaker in its president’s lecture series, at Manchester’s Printworks on Tuesday 5 June.
Curtis set up his company in 1998. After a successful 10 year music career, he decided to change course and bought himself an old Mac II and enrolled on a Photoshop course.
Hillmancurtis, inc has grown from designing small flash ads to producing some of the most trafficked sites on the web. Just a five man operation, they have built up a cupboard full of awards. Recent work includes projects for AOL, Yahoo! and AIGA.
