Durex online sex community powered by Code

In a piece of news that may as well have been written by How-Do’s search engine optimisation team, Code Computerlove is working with Durex on a new global online community where people can share their sexual experiences.

The website called Ora! is invite-only for the moment to get feedback, ahead of a full launch in 2010.

Durex online sex community powered by Code“Our new online community is designed to help people get the best out of their sex lives. While remaining anonymous, members who want to take part in discussions will be able to talk about sex, celebrate their sexuality, share experiences, plus get inspiration and advice from each other and Durex’s team of experts,” explained Peter Whitehurst, Ora! project sponsor at Durex.

“We have already recruited a number of leading sex bloggers and writers from around the world, which will be mixed with user generated content from our initial invite-only stage to really bring Ora! to life.”

Code, which was appointed by Durex owners SSL in May this year is working in partnership with platform supplier Huzu and an in-house team.

“The aim is for Ora! to be the global authority on sex and sexuality, with new and refreshing content unlike anything else out there,” added Alex Comyn, account director at Code Computerlove.

“The right level of community management and moderation is critical to ensure we exclude any abuse or bullying. However, this in no way precludes us from encouraging freedom of expression and open and honest discussion. The safety and anonymity of community members is our utmost concern.”

Pah, Durex missed a fantastic opportunity to team up with car manufacturer Kia for this.

Think about it. Give it time to process. I know I'm bad at jokes but it's Friday and I'm hungover so give me a chance.

That link will definitely provide more potential employees for me who are attuned to reality sure enough. I like the Grinch dig though I doubt I will be back tracking as he did :)

Show them your "OH" face Brian - that'll send them packing.

And where is the horse?

@Brian - you may find this link useful in the next couple of years:

Its completely farcical to believe a single portal, sponsored by a manufacturer with a vested interest in selling its products. Which operates under a censorious or at least politically correct climate can become 'the global authority on sex and sexuality, with new and refreshing content unlike anything else out there' Can I also suggest that when not twittering or face booking that some people in marketing and advertising actually take a look at what is already around them rather than thinking they have invented something new. (and also stop using the word 'community' so often, now that you are weaned of 'solutions')

Come, come...you don't expect us to believe that no-one else had a hand in it, do you?

Yes, it was hard, but we managed to pull it off.

I bet they had to beat off some stiff competition to get that work!
