Bolton digital agency Fudge, has been commissioned to design and build a website specifically for the University of Salford’s MediaCityUK activities.
It’s committed to creating a new centre on the site, which will focus on employer-led and postgraduate learning and research collaboration. It will also hold undergraduate courses.
As previously reported on this site, facilities will include a broadcast zone, digital media areas and performance spaces.
Fudge Fudge has been brought in to create a specialist site linked to the main University website to showcase its strengths and what’s available at the MediaCityUK campus. “We’re really excited to be working with the University and MediaCityUK. The project presents many challenges from both a technical and user experience point of view,” said Phil Jeffs, Fudge’s technology director. “We’re lucky to be working with a client that understands technology and is willing to push the boundaries.”
The University will be recruiting 2 creative and technology students to work with Fudge and contribute to the content and infrastructure of the final site. “We chose Fudge because they came up with a great concept and have a unique approach to agile development,” said the University’s Media City director, John Holland.
“We’re confident that they will deliver a website that is in tune with the cutting-edge ethos of our MediaCityUK project. We’re also looking forward to making the most of our own creative talent by gaining the input of our students.” Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
