Manchester's Gencia has launched an initiative on behalf of Coventry City Council to help combat break-ins to local businesses in the city.
Gencia's guerilla bluetoothing The two week campaign launched on Tuesday at Coventry railway station, using images of wallets, credit cards and mobile phones stuck to vertical surfaces with a message instructing commuters to turn their bluetooth on.Once their mobile phones are enabled Gencia's Bloowire Bluetooth transmitters then sends messages to heighten awareness of the dangers of leaving premises and valuables unsecured. Tony Braide, MD at the agency, commented: "Using Bluetooth is a fantastic way to deliver a serious message to the business community of Coventry and unlike other marketing methods, the Bloowire units record all the data from each campaign. "This will allow Coventry City Council to analyse the success of this campaign and see exactly how many people have been contacted and received the content.” www.gencia.co.uk Something to add?
