Adidas’ latest viral features Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard hitting (or almost hitting) clay pigeons with a football.
The short 30 second clips have been released to promote the sports company’s latest boot.
The debate now rages as to whether it’s computer effects or real, with ad agency 180 Amsterdam claiming the midfielder really did hit one after fewer than 10 tries.
Not to put the clay cat amongst the aforementioned clay pigeons, but in the last Nike adverts, the players hit the target every time - albeit through computer wizardry.
The online campaign is a relatively new strategy for Adidas which has decided on fast-turnaround ads, rather than big budget, high quality productions.
The Gerrard viral is one of several which will be planted over the coming weeks.
