International Festival digital launch and new creative fund
Manchester International Festival’s new website has gone live after a redesign from Stiff Rowlands.

It happened as Festival organisers announced some of the newly commissioned work that will be coming to the city next year.

There was a slight delay from the promised 12pm launch - How-Do was watching, waiting and refreshing, which is quite sad really and made us miss our lunch.

The new site has a lot to live up to, as the previous one by Code Computerlove managed to bag some awards.

In addition to the site and the headline announcements - including Rufus Wainwright and Bingo at the Royal Exchange, organisers have launched a creative fund for local people.

The £750,000 MIF Creative will allow a series of community-based commissions from artists, who’ll work with local people to develop their skills.

It’s in partnership with the City Council, NWDA and National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts.

[Ed] In a rush to get lunch, you spelt organisers incorrectly. Also a few minor gramaticals and tense problems. The last sentence is not clear if 'It's' is refering to the website, festival or MIF Creative. Perhaps another look?

to Stiff Rowlands for not using Flash. Looks like a very simple, almost off-the-shelf template - but what more do you need? Might want to get rid of the 'Just another FX weblog' description on the RSS feeds though. And your sitemap doesnt work...
