Inventive IT in Rochdale has created a hotel room booking application for its client LateRooms.com.
iRooms (iTunes link) helps customers search for available rooms in certain areas and then book them. It can also make a list of favourite destinations, get directions to the hotel and store booking confirmation details.
"Booking via the application is really quick and easy, and it's also free. People looking for a hotel can simply type in the location of their choice, or use the GPS function on their phone to discover the nearest available hotel” explained John Charnock, managing director of Inventive IT.
"The booking is confirmed immediately via laterooms.com and confirmation details are sent directly to your phone for presentation on arrival. The whole process has been designed to make finding and booking hotel rooms quicker and easier for travellers, tourists and business people looking for somewhere to stay. There are no booking fees and hotels simply take payment when visitors check out."
Charnock was previously head of software development at MyTravel, but left following its merger with Thomas Cook. Inventive IT was set up with Rory Powers and David Mathews, also ex-MyTravel. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
