Following the news that CBJWT’s head of digital Kevin McKay is to join McCanns in Prestbury, JWT has appointed Jonathan Scott as his successor in Manchester.
Scott will be managing a dedicated team at Quay Street of around a dozen people but the agency’s MD Jane Clancy was keen to stress that the agency promotes and offers a wider integrated service rather than a pure digital play.
Scott Scott began his digital experience in 1995 when he was part of the team that wrote the strategy and commercial plan that launched Tesco.com (then called Tescodirect.co.uk).
He subsequently developed and launched the finance, motoring and insurance offerings for Tesco.com.
Scott has also worked in marketing roles for AOL Time Warner, News International, GCap and The Financial Times. His agency experience includes spells with Brahm, Moonfish Manchester, McCann-I, and Grand Union.
Scott said: “I am pleased to be joining what I believe is one of the most important forces driving creativity and change in agency land at the moment and I am looking forward to expanding the digital offering internally and externally.”
Other digital accounts held by the agency include First Direct, Cumbria Tourism, Magnet and Liverpool One. www.cheethambelljwt.com Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
