A ringtone promotion devised by Blue Chip Marketing and facilitated by Mediaburst has appeared on 22million packets of Kellogg’s cereals, with tens of thousands of customers participating via text messaging.
The Zookeeper promotion tempted consumers with the offer of free animal facts and ringtones delivered to their mobiles, if they first submitted a text message to Kellogg’s then visited a WAP site. According to Alderley Edge’s Mediaburst ‘tens of thousands’ of customers did just this, downloading one of ten ringtones and providing Kellogg’s with an effective brand interaction and data capturing exercise. Stuart Brown of Mediaburst said his team were delighted to have been involved with a campaign that was both “inspirational and educational” and helped bring “tens of thousands of young consumers closer to the animal world." The promotion appeared on packs of the firm’s leading brands – including Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Frosties and Coco Pops – from 14 January to 23 March. For those of you intrigued to know what animal noises proved most popular, roaring lions came in third, howling wolves second and an all star medley/cacophony of various species topped the billing in the number one spot. www.bluechipmarketing.co.uk www.mediaburst.co.uk Something to add?
