Hotel booking internet site Laterooms – the business set up by Steve Walsh, the founder of Walsh Simmons – has bought www.hotels-london.co.uk in a deal which looks to consolidate its position in the capital.
Laterooms goes along for the ride Hotels-London.co.uk will continue to operate as a standalone brand, but will now be run by James Pogson from Salford-based Laterooms. It claims to attract some 180,000 visitors a month, making it one of the leading players in the competitive London hotel booking market. In a statement from Laterooms, Pogson commented: “We are very excited about the acquisition and will aim to make Hotels-London an even greater success. “With LateRooms’ vast experience in the hotel sector and Hotels-London’s strong position in the London market, it’s a very exciting time for both companies.” Walsh, who founded Laterooms with his brothers Tony and Paul, launched a new venture last year called Quote.co.uk. He currently lives in Monaco. www.laterooms.com Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
