Search marketing giant Latitude has recruited Neil McCarthy from rival agency Tamar as the firm’s new chief sales and marketing officer.
Thwaites The move will allow current chief executive Dylan Thwaites to step back from the sales side and concentrate on over-seeing the continued growth of the Warrington and London-based firm.To date that growth has been impressive, with turnover rising from £100,000 in 2001, Latitude’s first year in business, to £31m in 2006. Bosses say that the as yet unreleased figures for 2007 should exceed this. McCarthy himself claimed in a statement from the firm that it had enjoyed a record first quarter and would be looking to increase its own marketing budget by a seven figure amount. Latitude is also set to increase its sales force to 15 members of staff. The firm was subject to an MBO prior to Christmas that valued the operation at £58m. www.latitudegroup.com
