Liverpool and Manchester United may be going through their own travails, relatively speaking, in the Premier League at present, but there's one table where they're way ahead of the competition.
The champions
According to research conducted by Revolution magazine the region's top two teams (sorry Man City et al, but you've got to earn it) are clearly outplaying of the rest of the footballing fraternity in terms of their popularity on Facebook.

Liverpool are sitting pretty in first place with over 1m fans (the stats are drawn from the club's official groups), while United are snapping at their studded heels with 955,377.

Of the other big North West players Manchester City are seventh most popular, Everton eighth, Stoke tenth, Burnley twelfth, Blackburn fifteenth and Wigan sixteenth.

Frankly the less said about Bolton's performance the better.

Any chance you could link up the 20 clubs to their official Facebook pages please? I'd like to know what West Ham's official FB page is
