Love consolidates relationship with Science Council for Futuremorph site | Print |  Email to a friend

Love has taken advantage of an opportunity that arose last year with The Science Council, and is now set to develop a website to help youngsters understand the career options that open up to them through the study of science and maths.

The Manchester agency was first appointed in 2007 by the organisation to develop a name and branding for the new youth-orientated initiative. They pitched against an unknown group of firms from the capital for the job.

In what turned out to be an enlightened move, Love decided to put the target audience firmly in the driving seat and conducted an online poll where young people, teachers and professionals in the field decided upon the project name.

The catchy moniker ‘Futuremorph’ was the result.

As a result of this activity The Science Council then appointed Love’s digital arm, without a pitch, to create the web presence for Futuremorph and unlock what are often perceived to be the rather opaque arts of maths and science to 11-19 year olds.

Agency director Jonathan Rigby noted that this was a “testament to the work we've done already and is another boost for our rapidly expanding digital division.”

A pilot site has now been launched, although the finished portal – which will be developed with more help from the target audience – is not scheduled to go live until September.
