It appears as though the digital arm of Manchester’s Love Creative has expanded on the first project work it received from Doctor Martens and is now underway with fresh tasks for the iconic boot manufacturer.
Love’s ‘design a boot’ task for DM, as reported on How-Do in October, has now run its course and is believed to have received some 20,000 competition entries and several hundred thousand visits from budding designers. Love's Microsoft work The success of this has apparently opened the door for more work from Air Wair and the team has now set up a holding site for http://freedm2.com/ (an initiative that supports/ embeds the brand with grassroots creative talent) while the main web presence is under production. A spokesperson for Love refused to comment on whether the team were actually producing the main freedm site, while DM’s Phil Bell was unavailable to speak to How-Do. Love Digital has had an enviably successful start to its existence to date, attracting clients of the stature of MBNA, FACT, STA Travel and Silver Cross. The team has also recently produced work for Microsoft, tackling the perception problem that leads many email users to associate Hotmail with spamming. The agency now employs 31 members of staff from its Northern Quarter base. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
