The digital division of Manchester’s Love has released its latest web work for the iconic Dr Martens brand.
Love: getting the boot Love started working with the Air Wair-owned marque last October, crafting a website that encouraged members of the public to get involved in the boot design process and submit their own ideas for the classic 1460 (eight hole) model. The results of this were seemingly so encouraging (over 12,000 budding creatives entered worldwide) that the client has decided to run the competition for a second year, recruiting Love to design the site yet again. This time round DM fans get the chance to create designs for both the eight hole and the 12 hole boot (known as the 1914), with the eventual winners being decided by both an expert panel of judges and through a public vote. New features this time round include a “love it or hate it” voting system and a raft of fresh online drawing tools. The site launched last week and has already received a host of new designs, which you can peruse here. In other news at the recently crowned North West design consultancy of the year, Love has also had its University of the Arts London Prospectuses accepted into this year’s D&AD Annual. http://dmbootdesign.com/ Something to add?
