Digital agency Mando Group was ten years old this week.

The Liverpool agency founded by Matt Johnson and Ian Finch now employs 35 staff at its base at Liverpool Science Park. The office is not far from the JMU campus where Johnson and Finch met and decided to set up on their own.

Mando started offering standard web solutions to a range of clients encompassing consumer brands and public sector organisations. More recently it has started diversifying into other related digital enterprises.

“It’s been an amazing 10 years” said Finch. “We have been fortunate enough to be able to build on the success which we and our partners and customers have achieved together at each stage of the company’s growth.

“Our philosophy has been simple. We are committed to running a successful business that contributes positively to the wider community”

The agency secured Phil Redmond as its guest of honour at its 10th birthday party in Liverpool last night.

Redmond said: “Mando epitomises all that’s good about three things I feel passionate about – entrepreneurship; social responsibility and using digital technology to empower people to communicate more effectively. I am delighted that they have reached this milestone in the development of their business. Their success story really should be an inspiration to others.”
