Places for People, one of the country’s largest property development and management firms, has appointed Mando to a substantial contract that will see the Merseyside based firm completely redeveloping the firm’s online and intranet capabilities.
Places for People, one of the country’s largest property development and management firms, has appointed Mando to a substantial contract that will see the Merseyside based firm completely redeveloping the firm’s online and intranet capabilities.

PfP is a huge concern with a portfolio of 59,000 homes and combined assets of £2.4bn. Based in Preston it builds new homes and transforms run-down areas with the vision of creating what it calls ‘sustainable communities’.

Mando, following on from a lengthy OJEC tender process, will now be the sole supplier for the company’s digital needs and facilitate a complete overhaul of its existing internal and external communications.

In total this will require in excess of 300 man-days from the agency, with Immediacy’s Web Content Management System at the heart of the upcoming developments.

Diane Brislen, PfP’s group web manager, revealed that over 30 companies were considered for the contract, but Mando was chosen as “(the firm) showed an intimate understanding and knowledge of the complexities of our organisation and presented an approach that will help us achieve our ambitious aims.

She added: “We felt our cultures were aligned and Mando Group’s technology partner Immediacy allowed us to access the enterprise level content management functionality that we required.”

One of the agency’s first projects will now be the creation of PfP’s first online property shop, which will allow the group’s Scottish customer’s to access detailed information about its property portfolio in their individual areas.

Mando scored another sizable win last month, when it saw off competition from seven rival agencies to pick up the brief for United Utilities web work.
