Martin Cozens is the latest senior departure at Latitude | Print |  Email to a friend

The pace of the increasing number of high-level departures at the region’s largest search marketing agency Latitude does not appear to be waning with the rumours that Martin Cozens, director of affinities and partnerships at Latitude, is the latest director to leave the company.
The pace of the increasing number of high-level departures at the region’s largest search marketing agency Latitude does not appear to be waning with the news that Martin Cozens, director of affinities and partnerships at Latitude, is the latest director to leave the company.

Warrington- based Latitude, with a turnover of £50m plus, was the subject of a £58m private equity acquisition in December 2007 backed by venture capitalists Vitruvian Partners.

Cozens was not available as he is understood to be on gardening leave while the company issued a "No comment" to How-Do. However Cozens was clearly listed as one of the four executive directors on the company’s website until recently.

His departure comes just weeks after the departure of founder Dylan Thwaites and Chief Technical Officer Rob Shaw and agency director Judy Dewsbury.

Latitude relaunched its brand in January but the agency which is one of Europe’s largest SEO agencies with over 100 staff split between its Warrington HQ and a London office, has been faced with some client losses including Skype and other undisclosed accounts.

Prior to joining Latitude, Cozens was a partner at Brackmans and a senior account manager at Visuality. At Latitude he held senior roles within client delivery and more recently led the partnership team in business development.

Well, if it is true, then good luck both to Martin and to Latitude, I suppose each needs their own doze. :-) On the other hand, I know a few people at Latt who will never leave as long as the company stands, so "embedded" and "mobile" they are (excuse the pun). I may be wrong, of course, but I may be right after all. Just makes you wonder if those people are loyal or afraid of change and challenge at a different company.

Wishing Martin all the best in his new job.
It does make you wonder whether it was just something great that tempted him away or whether Latitude is still not realising the benefit of keeping all staff happy.
