The digital team at McCann Erickson Manchester has confirmed that it is behind discount retailer Aldi’s move into the travel market.

Aldi is set to launch www.alditravel.co.uk on 8 January, offering a typically value conscious proposition of ‘high quality destinations at affordable prices’.

These will take in over 30 worldwide destinations, ranging from ski holidays to beach breaks.

McCann’s digital team has developed the creative for the site launch and will be supported by Interpublic-sister firm Weber Shandwick in a PR capacity.

Keeley Lee, digital account director at the agency, said in a statement: “We are developing a creative and engaging site that sits well within the Aldi brand and its portfolio of websites.

“The Aldi Travel site will offer the best value deals to the most popular destinations through a trusted retail brand, providing holidaymakers with peace of mind when travelling abroad.”
