Media-Link, the independent sales house with bases in Manchester and Stirling, has pulled off a considerable coup by landing the regional representation task for online giant AOL.
According to an official announcement yesterday, the firm was regarded as “the best fit to work with AOL’s broad portfolio” due to the team’s “strong digital credentials.” These have been acquired from a history of working with big name clients, on a regional basis, such as Lycos, ivillage.co.uk and the online offerings for The Independent and The Economist. Reid: delighted Media-Link will now be pushing AOL to regional budget holders, focusing on the web firm’s ‘Platform-A’ proposition, which includes behavioural targeting, mobile offerings, geo targeting and ‘an ambitious growth strategy for its 3rd party ad networks.”Duncan George, the sales director of AOL UK, said in the statement: "This appointment shows AOL's commitment to the regional market place and builds on our expansion and growth strategies. “We believe that Media-Link are the right people to forge AOL's profile and take our compelling offering to the regions." Tim Reid, Media-Link's MD, added that he was “delighted” by the appointment and looking forward to “working together to maximise their revenues outside of London." www.media-link.co.uk
