MEN and LEP win big at Newspaper Society Awards | Print |  Email to a friend

Manchester Evening News and Lancashire Evening Post teams scooped a handful of awards each at the Newspaper Society Advertising and Digital Media Awards.

Taking place at Crewe Hall there was also a win for Lytham St Annes Express for Advertisement of the Year, they were joint bronze winners in the category.

MEN award
Manchester Evening News won gold and silver in Cross-Platform or Portfolio Sell of the Year and Integrated Campaign of the Year for the NHS' 'I Love Me' campaign.

They also got a gold in the Public Sector Advertising Initiative of the Year category and a silver in the Client Sponsorship Package.

The Lancashire Evening Post took three awards with a silvers in Community Website of the Year, Niche Publication of the Year and Digital Innovation of the Year.

"The judges for the ADM Awards were impressed by the depth of innovation and creativity found in the entries," said Newspaper Society communications director Lynne Anderson.

"The digital element of the awards was particularly impressive this year with clear evidence that local media publishers are becoming increasingly effective at communicating with their audiences online."

The awards were announced by Charlie Varley, Mediavest Manchester planning director, and presented by NS president Michael Pelosi.
