Context PR is claiming that it has helped online music retailer Musicmagpie.co.uk quadruple its number of unique users in the six weeks since it was appointed to handle its publicity task.
Musicmagpie, which was previously handled by RMS PR, was launched by ex-Music Zone boss Steve Oliver last year. The site trades in pre-owned CDs, marketing itself as the only online service that gives users cash for their old music discs. Since its appointment Context has been striving to promote this USP and, alongside targeting blogs and forums, has managed to secure coverage on websites including The Guardian, Daily Mirror and MoneySavingExpert.com. The agency is now continuing with ongoing brand building and marketing work to encourage consumer trial of the site. Craig Dawson, head of operations at Musicmagpie.co.uk, said that the site’s daily unique users had jumped by over 400 per cent since Context’s arrival, while “overall awareness of the brand is going through the roof.” Context also provides support for online businesses Carrentals.co.uk and BuyYourCar.co.uk. www.musicmagpie.co.uk www.contextpr.co.uk Something to add?
