Reading Room CEO one of the Observer’s top 50 to watch | Print |  Email to a friend

Margaret Manning, the chief executive of Manchester and London based digital agency Reading Room, has been named as one of the top 50 media people ‘to watch’ in The Observer newspaper.

Manning made the list, part of the ‘Courvoisier The Future 500’ initiative, in recognition of her success in helping to guide Reading Room from start up in 1996 (she joined a year later) through to the position of one of the UK’s top five rated digital media firms.

She said of the accolade, “I am honoured to have been listed among the top 50 people in the media.  What’s so flattering is that the nominations came from other business people, and was completely unsolicited. I am really pleased by this recognition of my work at Reading Room, and would like to thank everyone who nominated me.”

Reading Room Manchester has enjoyed a prosperous year through 2007, recently relocating from its original Oxford Road base to larger offices in Albion Mill and taking on seven new members of staff from troubled digital peer Amaze. The agency expanded to Manchester from its London HQ in early 2004.
