Trinity Mirror owned digital outfit Rippleffect has apparently come through a selection process that included 30 agencies from across the country to pick up the brief to redesign Rotary International’s website for the UK.
The Rotary in question is the humanitarian organisation, rather than the maker of flash timepieces – a body that has 58,000 members who work on voluntary projects at home and overseas, with the intention of promoting world understanding and peace. Rippleffect has been signed up to design, host and implement the website for Rotary, with the overall objective of attracting new members and promoting awareness of its laudable endeavours. This will see the team creating a site, due out at the end of the year, that features, amongst other things, web blogs, podcasts, integrated video, a shop and payment facility and an online event booking system. In a statement released by the firm, Annemarie Harte, Rotary’s UK CEO, said: "Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland is entering a new era. We are in the process of building the Rotary of the future and our new marketing drive will demonstrate that Rotary is inclusive and relevant to business people and community leaders. "Our original website was focused on supporting members. As well as continuing this, the new site will increase user interactivity, while also providing more information in an easily accessible way. “It will become our most important promotional tool and will play a key role in driving awareness of the wonderful humanitarian work that Rotary is involved in across the UK." www.ribi.org www.rippleffect.com Something to add?
