Trinity Mirror-owned digital agency Rippleffect has been taken on by The Peel Airports Group (PAG) to redesign and maintain the individual websites for its three UK airports.
A new look for Lennon awaits The firm, which was bought from founder Ben Hatton by Trinity earlier this year, will now be expected to overhaul the sites for Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Robin Hood Airport and Durham Tees Valley Airport in a contract that will last for the next three years.Upcoming developments for the portals include easier flight and car park booking services, better data capture facilities and more user-friendly search options. It is reported that the team collected the brief after a three-way pitch. PAG head of marketing Katie Smorthit said of the move to revamp the sites: “A stand-out online presence is critical for us in our mission to position, for instance, John Lennon Airport as a gateway for the entire North West, rather than just Merseyside.” She added that the agency won the contract due to its “creative and commercially-focussed” approach. www.rippleffect.com
