Rippleffect has revamped the online presence of leading off-licence chain Bargain Booze, as the retailer looks to build customer loyalty online.
Hatton The digital agency, set up by MD Ben Hatton in 1999 , was commissioned to provide BB with a more user-friendly site that could drive overall sales, increase brand presence and capture more customer information.
In response to the brief the firm stripped out the site’s flash animation, built a new CMS structure – allowing franchisees to easily download information – and fully optimised it for search engine rankings.
It went live in January.
Bargain Booze’s marketing manager Mat Leach explaining the reasoning behind the revamp: “Traditionally our customer base has been highly fragmented as the market is extremely price and product sensitive.
“This has left little opportunity for targeted marketing to build brand loyalty and an accurate customer database. “The new website will enable us to cost-effectively capture and regularly refresh customer data, which can be used for tailored marketing campaigns and promotional offers. This will help drive footfall and revenue.”
