Manchester-based digital agency Skylab has launched a video channel for the top-end camera maker Hasselbad.
Hasselblad TV (HTV), a multi-lingual site that will carry tutorials as well as material from top photographers, has been built on Skylab's own MediaTank platform.
MediaTank was launched 18 months ago aimed at companies that want to enhance their websites with high definition broadcast quality content.
Skylab's managing director Nigel Collier said: "Hasselblad is an amazing client to work with and its heritage defines the history of photography itself.
"We've been working with Hasselblad for nearly two years to bring this project to fruition. They understand the importance online video now has for any brand.
"Skylab's expertise in online video platforms and the freedom to make MediaTank multi-platform and multi-lingual, were critical factors in the success of the launch."
HTV houses material from top photographers as well as behind the scenes footage of photo shoots with celebrities including Martin Scorsese, Christopher Walken, James Blunt and Tom Jones.
There are also video tutorials for Hasselblad cameras, lenses and software. Hasselblad users are invited to submit their own videos to build up a global photographic video network.
Chris Russell-Fish, Hasselblad's global sales and marketing director, said: "Working with Skylab has allowed us to produce a comprehensive, state-of-the-art, standalone education and research tool for Hasselblad enthusiasts across the globe."
