theEword appoints Chris Sheffield as chairman

Search agency theEword has appointed Chris Sheffield, the founder of both Eunite and mobile gaming outfit Million-2-1, to its board in the position of chairman.

Search agency theEword has appointed Chris Sheffield, the founder of both Eunite and mobile gaming outfit Million-2-1, to its board in the position of chairman.Sheffield boasts experience from an 11 year stint at Deloite as principle partner, in addition to his role in the two start-ups, both of which he sold - Eunite to N Brown and Million-2-1 to gaming giant IGT.

He will retain his current position as senior vice president of technology, media and telecoms at China Resources and Investment Vehicle while working with the Trafford-based digital outfit.

Al Mackin, MD at theEword, explained why the business had brought Sheffield in: “Chris has a long track record of success with companies which specialise in new media and technology.
