Trafford Park-based digital outfit theEword has expanded its pay roll to ten members of staff, in a bid to service four new client wins.

Trafford Park-based digital outfit theEword has expanded its pay roll to ten members of staff, in a bid to service four new client wins.The agency, which was set up in 2006 by MD Al Mackin and creative director Tom Glass, specialises in PPC and SEO campaigns and is experiencing rapid growth.

In the latest recruitment drive theEword has been bolstered by the arrival of Mark Baker as online marketing manager, Max Hooton as senior developer and Tom Mason as copywriter.

Dan Nolan has also been promoted from his previous role of copywriter to that of managing editor.

Mackin said of the need to make the signings: “We’ve picked up four major clients in the last three months, so it’s important that we built a strong team to support them.  Myself and Tom believe our appointments are first class.”

Baker joins from KDS, Hooton from Newsquest (where he was a PHP developer) and Mason from The Magazine, where he was deputy editor prior to its closure.
