The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has created the new role of 'project champion for digital industries' as it looks to build strategic links between itself and the sector on a regional, national and international level.
Harding: Champion appointment Lisa Harding has been recruited to take up the post and direct UCLan's 'University Knowledge Transfer agenda for digital and creative industries'. She comes to the Preston-based institution with a pedigree established through roles at UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), where she was international trade advisor for creative industries, and from the NWDA, where her focus was on attracting investment into the region’s creative economy. Harding said of her appointment: "The digital and creative sector is fast-moving and dynamic and comes with its own unique set of challenges. “I’m looking forward to helping UCLan harness its strengths across all industrial sectors, in order to allow digital companies in the UK and beyond to realise the full potential of their technologies and intellectual property, in the areas of content production, software development and digital distribution." www.uclan.ac.uk Something to add?
