Internet agency Virtuaffinity has teamed up with Dash Productions to launch a new service that provides high-quality gigs (especially if you like Gary Numan) exclusively over the web.
Numan: friends electric, and online
The concerts are transmitted in real time, without interruptions, and as such give a much higher definition than the more standard streamed content.

So far Gary Numan, Tony Hadley and ABC have signed up to the concept, with more names from the recent pop pantheon such as Heaven 17 and Go West due to be added to the portfolio shortly.

Virtuaffinity has just built the site, while sister agency PushON will be ramping up awareness through a mixture of search engine optimisation and organic search techniques, including using You Tube to drive targeted traffic to the site.

Paul Green who runs Dash Productions commented: “Simon (Wharton – agency MD) and Virtuaffinity were recommended to me by Manchester Digital because of their approach and knowledge.  When selecting an agency it is not always possible to really assess whether it is going to work on a personal and business level but I think we’ve got it right, even down to Simon being a big Gary Numan fan like me.”

In the first days of trading Dash claimed that downloads from the site exceeded expectation, with users from as far a field as Australia and the US logging on to see the concerts.
