As reported on How-Do, Michael Welch was due back in court in Warrington yesterday to answer fraud charges, but has now had his case adjourned for a further two weeks.
Anyone seen him yet? Both Welch and former partner and co-defendant Anne Hunt were due to appear today in relation to £440,000 of the NWDA’s money that he allegedly obtained by deception while at the helm of the ill-fated Digital Industries North West. However, neither defendant appeared as Welch’s lawyers asked for, and were granted, a two-week adjournment to further study the case against him. The next step in the process will be a hearing at the Magistrates Court, before the case progresses to Warrington Crown Court next month. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
