News is filtering out that Manchester has won the bid to host WordCamp UK 2010.
WordCamp, as all web savvy publishers, designers and developers are aware, is an annual get together focusing on the wonders of all thing WordPress.
It tours different UK venues every year - the 2009 outing was held in Cardiff - and is organised by London-based, but Manchester born, web designer and developer Tony Scott.
The competition for next year's event came down to a shortlist of two locations, Manchester and Portsmouth, with the former being selected over the weekend as the host city.
WordCamp UK 2010 will now be held over 17-18 July 2010 at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School.
