Paul Yates, the co-founder of SEO agency Just Search, has taken on the dual role of managing director and CEO of Getupdated.

Paul Yates, the co-founder of SEO agency Just Search, has taken on the dual role of managing director and CEO of Getupdated.
Yates: dual role
Yates, along with his brother Justin, sold Just Search in a multi-million pound deal to Swedish outfit Getupdated in 2007, joining the board of the parent operation in early 2008.

He has now taken over the role of MD from Oscar Werner, who has been acting MD since September.

In a statement from the firm Yates said that he was looking to aggressively grow the business and establish it as European leader in the field of SEO.

Åke Eriksson, chairman of the board of Getupdated, said of Yates: "(he) is an entrepreneur and businessman who has proven he is capable of capitalizing on the business opportunities presenting themselves in the fields of internet marketing and search optimisation.

"His skills and commitment as a principal share holder make him well suited to undertake the task to continue the transformation of Getupdated into a customer oriented company that devises growth .“
