Roary the Racing Car, Chapman Entertainment’s new animated children's series, is produced out of Manchester and debuts on 7 May on Channel Five and 2 June on Nick Jr.
Stirling Moss and Roary Peter Kay and Stirling Moss voice characters in the animation which targets under-five boys. Roary is a bright red, cheeky and energetic ‘single-seater’ racing car who likes nothing better than racing around with his race car friends at Silver Hatch Race Track. Red Central has worked with Chapman Entertainment on several of its other shows including Postman Pat, Bob the Builder and most recently Fifi and the Flowertots. The agency, based in Bath, has produced a style guide to accompany the series which covers the substantial planned merchandising operation in the UK and internationally.
Greg Lynn, managing director and executive producer at Chapman Entertainment, said: "We were looking for a set of easy-to-use materials packed with style that inspires creativity, which is exactly what we received."
The web site for the new show has been created by Prism in London.
